Basic SQL

I am not sure if this blog is the best place to be teaching SQL however I do think that if I am encouraging people to use databases then I need to be able to at least give some basics into how you select the data from those tables

The code below outlines many of the basic functions that you can do in SQL, I will follow this up with posts on some more advanced functions including grouping data, joining data, unioning data and probably more. For now though take a look at the below:
